Grab and Go is a summer program which provides bags of healthy foods for children and their families during the months of June, July and August.. Thirty percent of Dover’s school children are eligible for free or reduced school lunches during the school year, and summer vacation threatens these children with hunger and their families with food insufficiency. Now in its ninth year, Grab and Go is staffed entirely by more than 70 volunteers. In the summer of 2024, they distributed more than 4600 bags of food using 22 distribution sites in strategic Dover locations.
