Dover Share Fund

The Dover SHARE fund was established in 1986 to provide limited, one-time help for our Dover neighbors experiencing a financial hardship for which no other resources or funds are available. Such emergencies include such things as past due rent or utility bills, some medical or dental bills, and various transportation related problems.  Clients in need of assistance must be referred to SHARE by the Dover Welfare Assistance, and SHARE caseworkers subsequently negotiate with and pay creditors directly. It is the mission of the SHARE fund to provide financial support that will avert a looming crisis and allow clients to remain in their homes without fear of eviction.
